Hot springs

Tuscany is rich of thermal springs and it is famous for the traditional medical science. Some of the hot springs have even been used by the Etruscan and the Romans a long time ago, others were already used in the Middle Age. The most famous thermal resistance is Montecatini with the Thermal spring of the Province Pistoia. It is also the best organized one, offering a beautiful structure which is surrounded by a park. They also offer a great variability of cures: from „drinking-cures“ for liver, bile, stomach and gut up to treatments for rheumatism, diabetes, skin disease and difficulties of breathing.

In the area of the three springs Acqua Santa, Acqua Fucoli and Acqua Sillene there are several bathhouses where several treatments are offered.
